40 Days Fast & Prayer for Our Nation
How should we define "neighbor"? I believe if you have the prayer booklet, you'd have read about this already in the "Editor's Meassage". If you don't have, you can download it from the link at the end of this post. Generally, "neighbor" would mean all those around us, no matter what race, culture or skin color.
So, let's ask God to give us a strong burden and passion for our neighbor, including M. In our nation, we know that there are restrictions in sharing the gospel. We can't share to everyone. We truly need to exercise wisdom in sharing the gospel, especially to those who have been restricted. We can't share openly and directly, but I believe actions speak louder than words. Jesus himself said in John 13:34-35,
34"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
When we love one another, others will know that we belong to Jesus! Need we say much? We just need to live out the Word of God in our lives. One day, when the door of the Gospel is opened to this nation, there'll be great revival. At the moment, let's live our lives to be a testimony.
During this 40 days, let's fast and pray with all our hearts, believe that revival will come to this land. To know about true fasting, you can read Isaiah 58.

Good Start...
After waiting for so long, finally the new semester started, with the MHS at the end of June and lectures officially in the beginning of July. We have truly waited long enough… we started praying for the new intake even since March or April, when the STPM results were out. We never stopped praying for the new intake since then. It was always in our minds.
When the MHS started, I could really see the efforts made by the core team together with other bros and sis. Truly want to appreciate KY, Alix, LF, Lily, JZ, KC for involving in the MHS. They really did sacrifice their time and energy throughout the orientation. Of course not forgetting those who were not directly involved… Peniel, Sing, Kelvin. Though not officially involved, they tried to join in some of the programs to get to know the juniors.
I could still remember clearly that Thurs night where we had the session with the Christian students. What turned out was not what we would expect. The sound system was no good. Students were confused. Only 2 or 3 students filled in the list for “Hope Church”. Thank God, He’s still in control. When things didn’t turn out to be as expected, I knew God wanted us to trust in Him rather than our own effort and strength.
Thank God we managed to get at least a list of Christian students with their contact numbers. Initially we had intended to meet the juniors again on Fri noon but the request was turned down. Yet a truly amazing thing happened. The bros and sis were not dampened by such a turn of events. The next thing they did was set up a “booth” at Dataran Anggerik and picked up their mobile phones to start calling each and every person on the list that we got. And we got quite a number of students wanting to join us for the Sunday Service (though only about 10 turned up out of the 20+ who “signed up”)
As we continued to reach out to the students during the first week of the semester, truly God led us to the right people and vice versa. Many of our contacts are so open to us, be it Christians or non Christians. Some have already mentioned that they want to continue to join us. A lot of the Christian students are really seeking for the right kind of church and showed a great desire for God. Even the non Christians showed interest to know God more. We can only agree that it’s the hands of our Mighty God in bringing these people into our midst. Among them, an African (dreamed about it), an Indian (from M’sia la of coz) and I still believe for more Bumis to come in. Culture and language are never barriers in the Kingdom of God!
Personally I see such a great potential in all these students, whether they are super gifted ones or those who are less gifted. I believe with all my heart that God has a great plan for them and their lives will surely transform when they continue to join us.
As we see how God has done his part, now it’s up to us to truly make the difference in their lives. God has given us such a great vision…a vision that will surely come to past as it’s written in the Bible so clearly. Let’s lay down the right foundation as we build His Kingdom. We don’t just want a good start but to finish the race well too!
The time has come to stand for what we believe in! Let’s fulfil the Great Commission by building strong and biblical people to plant strong and biblical churches in UTHM, BP, M’sia and all over the world!
We can truly Make a Difference!
